Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about AI tattoo generation and exporting designs for temporary tattoo production.
Tattoo Ideas AI is an AI-powered tattoo concept generator built specifically for temporary tattoo production. Describe your idea, choose your preferred style and size, and receive four unique black ink variations you can export as print-ready files.
We currently support four black ink styles: Fine Line (delicate single-needle work with thin, precise lines), Blackwork (bold solid black fills with strong contrast), Minimal Flash (clean traditional flash designs with minimal detail), and Line Art (continuous line drawings with artistic flow).
You can export in three formats: Transparent PNG (ideal for digital use and overlaying on mockups), White Background PNG at 300 DPI (standard print resolution for temporary tattoo sheets), and Print-Ready PDF (production-quality file with proper bleed and trim marks).
We offer three size presets: 2" x 2" is ideal for wrist, ankle, or behind-the-ear placement. 3" x 3" works well on the forearm, upper arm, or shoulder. 4" x 4" suits larger placements like back, chest, or ribs. All sizes export at 300 DPI for crisp print output.
Temporary tattoos are printed on special decal paper using inkjet or laser printers. The design is printed in reverse, covered with adhesive, and transferred to skin with water. Our export files are pre-formatted for this process with proper resolution and margins.
Absolutely. While the tool is optimized for temporary tattoo production, the generated concepts make excellent reference material for professional tattoo artists. Bring the exported file to your artist and collaborate on adapting it to their technique and your body placement.
The current version focuses exclusively on black ink designs, which produce the crispest results for both AI generation and temporary tattoo printing. Color style support is planned for a future update.
AI-generated designs are conceptual starting points, not finished tattoo art. They capture the mood, composition, and style you describe, but fine details may vary between generations. Use them as creative direction and refine the concept with a professional tattoo artist for the best results.
